This is being driven by organisations of all shapes and sizes turning to container based infrastructure and microservices as a way of satisfying the ever complex role of Software Development. Recently, Kubernetes has become the standard in making this possible and is, in fact, the fastest growing project in open-source history, far beyond Docker Swarm and Mesos.

    Appvia was founded at the back end of 2017 and together our teamwork towards this goal having all worked previously for companies such as Betfair, Kcom, NYSE, Euronext, London Stock Exchange, Pivotal and SauceLabs. Building our products like Kore and KSS to fulfil this mission.

    We're part of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation and for our customers like the Home Office, we've already got 600+ developers using the tool, building over 500+ applications, in over 20,000+ containers, running a number of critical applications for the government both on-premise and via Azure, Amazon and Google. Alongside this you will find the team contributing massively to things like KOP's.

    The Role

    We are looking for someone to join the company in the role of Sales Development Representative. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and a proven track record of successful new business.

    Reporting to the Sales Director and working closely with the Marketing and Product teams and you will have a real opportunity to make a difference to the company growth and be a part of our journey.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prospect and qualify leads from a list of targeted clients
    • Qualify and engage with inbound leads
    • Leverage leading-edge sales and marketing tools to build a profile on the target customer
    • Perform high volume outbound prospecting via email, social media, and phone
    • Schedule qualified meetings for the Field Sales Team
    • Create and manage accurate records in HubSpot and other systems
    • Achieve or exceed daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly goals.

    We are looking for someone with

    • The ability to work and thrive within a fast paced technology start-up
    • Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a team environment within our London office in Barbican
    • Excellent computer and speaking skills; should be able to communicate well and work cross functionally with Sales, Marketing and Product
    • Driven, competitive by nature, someone who aspires to be better and to learn
    • 6 Months+ experience in cold-calling new business sales or at least proof of the desire to learn
    • Ability to travel to customers or partners when needed
    • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
